Restoring a Masterpiece

He examines the painting carefully
He tilts his head and begins to see
How beautiful this work of art could be
And in his mind he see’s the day
It almost takes his breath away…

He places his hand beneath his chin
As he contemplates where he’ll begin
His approach is unique…..only to him
The flaws are not where he plans to begin

He peers for a moment with an eagle eye
He sees what’s needed to beautify
Each masterpiece is unique to him
For each one determines where he’ll begin

What makes him a Master at what he does?
The paintings themselves, for which he loves
Before him he see’s their image restored
And he desires to make them so much more…

To him they are living works of art
Not one of them, could he bear to part

He wonders if they could,
would they share his view?
In a world full of many,
would they see they are few?

His thoughts return to the painting before him.
He thinks to himself “this one in particular, has
been through years of neglect”.
He looks at the painting as if to say:
” shhhh…I know, I know. I’ll be as gentle as I can.”
He picks up his brush and with a smile….he begins.

All pain will Go
God cares for you

Let Jah Take hold of your hand
He’ll Help you understand
He’ll teach you Truth
And help you pull through

To Jehovah on high...

I dreamed that I prayed to Jehovah on high,
Complained of my troubles and started to cry.
I said to Jehovah, I can't take it no more!
Please bring it real soon, your great day of war!
I endured every day at the end of my rope,
I just do not see anyway I can cope.
I face constant pressure each day without doubt.
With all of my problems there's just no way out.
He patiently listened as on bended knee,
I griped and complained about what bothered me.
His loving concern as I emptied my head,
Made me feel so secure in his love when He said:
I understand just what you're going through,
This time of the end makes it harder for you.
But you see, I too have been waiting so long,
And I must make sure my people are strong.
Since the very first couple, Adam an Eve,
My heart has been many times since made to grieve.
Though I sent my son down to earth just to die,
Most people rejected what his life could buy.
I've been pushed aside by all those I love,
For other false gods they have put high above.
They even say I don't exist or am dead,
That life just evolved from the monkeys instead.
I surely don't want you to suffer or cry,
I'll give you my strength on which to rely.
You need to endure but please do not doubt,
If it gets too tough, I'll provide the way out.
The New World is near, so endure to the end,
For I am Jehovah and I am your friend.
The life that's ahead is worth oh so much more,
You'll take such delight in what I have in store.
Just think what it will be like in paradise,
Why even the dead from the tombs will arise!
You'll feel so much better and have joy each day,
Your memories of troubles will soon pass away.
These promises given will surely come true,
And it won't be long before all will be new.
So please be determined endure to the end,
For I am Jehovah your saviour and friend.

Can a bumblebee fly? Est-ce qu’un bourdon peut voler?

That was the question that a District Overseer asked a group of pioneers
In the pioneer meeting.”Can a bumblebee Fly?”

C’est la question qu’a posée un surveillant de district à un groupe de pionniers à la réunion de pionniers. Est-ce qu’un bourdon peut voler?

Of course most of the pioneers thought for a minute but then all nodded
Yes. Bumblebees fly.

Bien sur, la plupart des pionniers ont réfléchi durant une minute mais ensuite étaient d’accord. Les bourdons peuvent voler.

Then he said that actually they can’t. Not according to scientists. Scientifically and aerodynamically speaking, everything about the bumblebee, its shape and body weight compared to its ultra light wings indicates that it should NOT be able to fly at all.

Ensuite, il leur dit qu’en fait, ils ne peuvent pas. Pas selon les scientifques. Scientiphyquement et aérodynamiquement parlant, tout sur le bondon, sa morphologie et le poid de son corps comparés à ses ailes ultra légères indique qu’il ne devrait pas être capable de voler.

But nobody told the little bumblebee that he can’t fly, so he goes on about his business, flying anyway.

Mais personne n’a dit au petit bourdon qu’il ne pouvait pas voler, alors il fait ses affaires, volant après tout.

So, why does the bumblebee fly??? Because our Creator makes it fly!

Donc, pourquoi le boudon vole-t’il? Parce que le Créateur le fait voler !

Then he asked, “Can you pioneer?” The answer is..”Of course not. Not according to the pressures and trials, the demands of this system.”

Ensuite il demanda: “pouvez-vous être pionnier? » La question est… « bien sur que non. Pas selon les pressions et les épreuves, les exigences de ce système. »

S o how is it that we are able to pioneer? The answer is …”Because our Creator causes us to pioneer”.

Donc, comment ce fait-il que vous soyez capable d’être pionnier? La réponse est… “PArce que notre Créateur nous pousse à être pionnier ».

The point is there is NOTHING we can do on our own.
With EVERYTHING we can only accomplish things with the Creators help.

Le point c’est qu’il n’y a rien que nous puissions fait par nous meme.
En TOUT nous ne pouvons accomplir des choses qu’avec l’aide du Créateur.

The District Overseer talked about Peter walking on water. We know it
Wasn’t an act of faith. Peter was only able to walk on water because of Jesus.
Then he saw the storm coming and he fell through the water and almost drowned.

Le surveillant de District parla de Pierre merchant sur l’eau. Nous savons qu’il ne sagissait pas d’un acte de foi. Pierre était seulement capable de marcher sur l’eau grace à Jésus. Ensuite, il vit la tempête approchée and tomba dans l’eau presque à se noyer.

“Sometimes we think too hard” The D.O . Said, “Were so busy in Jehovah’s
Service doing so many things No one thought we could do, not even
Ourselves some days. In essence we’re walking on water because of Jehovah.
Then we start thinking,… “wait a minute, what am I doing? I’m pioneering,
I’m working, I’ve got so much stuff to do around the house, I’ve got
Kids, meeting parts…OH NO! This is all of the sudden getting really hard the
More I think about it! Oh, I’m getting sooooooo tired! I’m not supposed
To be doing all this, it’s just too much. My goodness! I’m falling through
The water.”

“Quelque chose que nous pensons trop difficile” dit le surveillant, « Nous sommes tellement occupés dans le service pour Jah à faire tant de chose que personne pensait que nous pourrions faire, même pas nous même certains jours. En quelque sorte, nous marchons sur l’eau grace à Jah. Et puis nous nous mettons à penser… “attends une minute, qu’est-ce que je suis en train de faire ? Je suis dans le service, je travaille, j’ai tant de choses à faire dans la maison, j’ai les enfants, les réunions et ce qui va avec… oh non ! Et soudainement cela devient vraiment difficile plus j’y pense ! Oh, je deviens siiiiiiiiiiiiii fatigué! Je ne suis pas suppose faire tout cela, c’est vraiment trop, mon Dieu ! Je coule.

“What a good point this is, isn’t it?” He said. “Sometimes we discourage
Ourselves by thinking too much, worrying too much, looking at the storm
And taking our eyes off of the one who makes the bumblebee fly.”

“Quelle bonne reflexion n’est-ce pas? Dit’il. « Quelque fois, nous nous décourageons à penser bcp trop, à nous inquiéter bcp trop, à trop regarder l’orage et en enlevant notre regard de Celui qui fait voler le bourdon. »

Why go to the Kingdom Hall?

Pourquoi aller à la Salle du Royaume?

If you’re spiritually alive, you’re going to love this! If you’re spiritually dead, you won’t want to read it. If you’re spiritually curious, there is still hope! So Why Go To The Kingdom Hall?

Si tu es spirituellement éveillé, tu vas adorer ça! Si tu es spirituellement mort, tu ne voudras pas le lire. Si tu es spirituellement curieux, il y a toujours de l’espoir ! Alors pourquoi aller à la Salle du Royaume ?

A Christian wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to the Kingdom Hall every Sunday.
Un Chrétien a écrit une lettre à l’éditeur d’un magazine et s’est plaint que cela n’avait aucun sens d’aller à la salle du Royaume tous les dimanches.
‘I’ve gone for 30 years now,’ he wrote, ‘and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 Public Talks. But for the life of me, I can’t remember a single one of them. So, I think I’m wasting my time and the brothers are wasting theirs by giving Bible-based talks at all.’

“Cela fait 30 ans que j’y vais”, écrit-il « et à ce jour j’ai entendu quelques 3000 discours publics. Mais pour ma part, je ne m’en souviens pas d’un seul. Donc, je pense que je perds mon temps et les frères perdent le leur à donner des discours bibliques tout simplement. »

This started a real controversy in the ‘Letters to the Editor’ column, much to the delight of the editor. It went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:

Ceci engendra une réelle controverse dans la rubrique « lettres à l’éditeur (courriers des lecteurs) », au grand plaisir de l’éditeur. Cela a duré des semaines jusqu’à ce que quelqu’un écrive ce qui suit :

‘I’ve been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this ….They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to the Kingdom Hall for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!’

“Je suis marié depuis 30 ans maintenant. Durant ce temps, ma femme a cuisine quelques 32 000 repas. Mais, pour ma part, je ne me souviens pas du menu intégral d’un seul malheureux repas. Mais je sais ceci…ils m’ont tous nourris et m’ont donnés la force que j’avais besoin pour travailler. Si ma femme ne m’avait pas donné ces repas, je serai physiquement mort aujourd’hui. Pareillement, si je n’étais pas allé à la Salle du Royaume pour me nourrir, je serai mort spirituellement aujourd’hui ! »

When you are DOWN to nothing…Jehovah is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank Jehovah for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment!

Quand tu te sens incapable de quoi que ce soit… Jéhovah est toujours prêt pour quelque chose ! La foi voit ce qui est invisible, croit en ce qui est invraisemblable et conçois l’impossible ! Merci Jéhovah pour notre nourriture physique ET spirituelle !

If Jesus Came To Your House

If Jesus came to your house to spend a day or two,

If he came unexpectedly, I wonder what you’d do?

Oh, I know you’d give your nicest room to such an honored guest,
And all the food you’d serve to him would be the very best.

And you would keep assuring him you’re glad to have him there,
That serving him in your own home is a joy beyond compare.

But when you saw him coming, would you meet him at the door
With arms outstretched in welcome to your heavenly visitor?

Or would you have to change your clothes before you let him in?
Or hide some magazines and put the Bible where they’d been?

Would you turn off the radio and hope he hadn’t heard?
And wish you hadn’t uttered that last, loud, hasty word?

Would you hide your worldly music and put some songbooks out?
Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about?

And I wonder–if the Savior spent a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing the things you always do?

Would you go right on saying the things you always say?
Would life for you continue as it does from day to day?

Would your family conversation keep up its usual pace?
And would you find it hard each meal to say a table grace?

Would you sing the songs you always sing, and read the books
you read?
And let him know the things on which your mind and spirit feed?

Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you’d planned to go?
Or would you, maybe, change your plans for just a day or so?

Would you be glad to have him meet your very closest friends?
Or would you hope they’d stay away until his visit ends?

Would you be glad to have him stay forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief when he at last was gone?

It might be interesting to know the things that you would do
If Jesus Christ in person came to spend some time with you.

Give to Jehovah

If you want the best from Jehovah
And you’re not sure what to do,
Then give to Jehovah the best you have
And the best will come back to you.

Give him love, and love to you will flow,
A strength in your time of need;
Use your power to tell the good news;
He’ll return the power to succeed.

Spend your strength for Jehovah eagerly,
And you’ll be repaid with might;
Show kindness even if not deserved;
Jehovah will prove you right.

Be long-suffering with others no matter,
And the same with God you’ll find.
Be joyful like our God of joy;
He’ll return to you in kind.

Imitate Jehovah’s goodness,
You’ll share in his reward;
Give your justice to God through sharing;
For you He’ll have regard.

Use your spiritual gifts for Jehovah
In everything you do;

Yes, give to Jehovah the best you have,
And the best will come back to you.
